Resurfacing a worn soft wheel costs half the price of a new SuperNova wheel at 4", 6" and 8": $34.95, $39.95 and $49.95, against $69.95, $79.95 and $99.95. The price is the same for every grit, and you can have the wheel back in a different grit at no extra charge. A worn wheel from any maker qualifies, as long as it is a soft resin wheel with the core intact. You pay shipping to us, and return shipping is charged when you order.

A full soft set
The Genie, Titan, CabKing and Barranca GP6-6 all run four soft wheels: 280, 600, 1,200 and 3,000. Priced as a set of four:

What is not in those numbers
Shipping. You pay to send the wheels to us, and return shipping is charged at checkout with the order. Both depend on where you are and how many wheels you send. New SuperNova wheels ship free within the contiguous USA, so the real gap is a little smaller than the prices alone show.
Time. A resurfaced wheel comes back about a week after it arrives. A new wheel has no turnaround to wait on.
When new is the right call:
- The wheel is worn through to the core. That wheel is scrap. See Resurfaceable or scrap.
- It is a hard wheel: sintered, nickel bond or electroplated. Those are not resurfaced.
- You need a size you do not own yet.
- You cannot be without the wheel for the week it is away.
If your worn wheel is a Nova
Diamond Pacific Nova wheels are soft resin wheels, and we resurface them at the same prices. Against replacing a worn Nova with a new one, at our store prices on 2026-09-30:

The same wheel, with a new diamond resin surface in the grit you chose, about a week after it reaches us. If you are not happy with it, we refund you in full, including your shipping.

Is it cheaper than a new wheel?
Yes. At 4", 6" and 8" it is half the price of a new SuperNova wheel. New SuperNova wheels ship free within the contiguous USA; resurfacing shipping is paid both ways.
Does the grit change cost extra?
