Loose silicon carbide grit that takes rough rock from the first grind to a surface ready for polish.

  • Coarse grits (46, 60, 60/90 and 80) cut fast, knocking off sharp edges and rough spots.
  • Medium grits (120, 120/220 and 220) wipe out the scratches the coarse stage leaves behind.
  • Fine grits (400 through 1,200) refine the surface so the polish stage goes quickly.
  • Very hard, sharp grit that cuts quickly.
  • Buy the grit you go through most in the bigger pack and restock less often.
  • Mainly used in Rotary and vibratory tumbling, grinding and polishing, lapping, ultrasonic drilling, sandblasting, flooring and many other applications.
  • LFR is the Large Flat Rate box - a fixed-size USPS box. The weight is however much of that grit fits in it, so coarse grits pack heavier (44 Lb.) than fine ones (39.6 Lb.).
